New Drawings

I started drawing again last night, here is a look at what i've begun, this is the beginning of a new series...finally figured out my style and how i want my faces to look, so yeah! I'm really excited!
Also off cleaning my studio, cleaning the house...and that's clearing my head for what's coming
next with the drawings... all a bit of a process :)

‘Dream Dreams’ is inspired by a dreamlike state in which I’ve been for a few weeks, daydreaming about a simpler lifestyle.

Sales have been good since I joined artist community Red Bubble Feb '08 (a print on demand site with the point of difference being it's strong community asset) I've sold 517 prints, cards and tshirts.
There are some interesting trends in sales, particularly the elephant series, which seems to be very popular.
The most recent sale was on 22 May '09 being a small laminated print of 'Rainbow Elephant' valued at AU$23.55. Click on the link below to have a look.

'Rainbow Elephant' is not only available as a print but also ready to wear on a tshirt (see link below for tshirt) which costs AU$32. The original artwork was created on yellow pastel paper using a mix of chalk and oil pastels, charcoal and white acrylic paint.

Lost and Found

Lost and Found http://www.redbubble.com/people/karin/art/2851254-2-lost-and-found was created around Easter 2009, in response to the whole spiritual idealogy of Easter. There are quite a few themes running through this piece, and it is definitely my favourite artwork at the moment, because I was so happy the outcome, particularly the eyes and the knit detail in her poncho. I feel so happy that in these difficult economic times, I am still able to offer you the collectors of my art very reasonable prices, from as low as AU$5.50.....this greeting card just looks beautiful framed and the print quality is superb, can really vouch for Red Bubble as an easy to navigate print on demand site, I highly recommend it to other artists looking to get their art out there and seen....
